CENTRAL TEXAS — Workforce Solutions of Central Texas has announced a new Chief Operating Officer.
At its January business meeting, the Board of Directors for Workforce Solutions of Central Texas unanimously appointed Louis LeDoux as the new Chief Operating Officer for all Central Texas Workforce Centers.
in September 2019, LeDoux assumed interim responsibility for managing all of the Workforce Centers in the Texas Counties of Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills, and San Saba.
Describing the selection process, the Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Executive Director Susan Kamas, noted that LeDoux “was the Director of the Center for Learning Management at the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) from 2013-2016, and prior to that he was the Director of the Training and Development Department of the Texas Workforce Commission from 2001-2013.”
“He is the person that designed training for the entire state. He is also a strong leader who is creating a state-of-the-art, customer-focused Workforce service delivery system,” said Kamas.
LeDoux said, “Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is an amazing organization with Workforce Professionals who are focused on preparing job seekers, connecting with businesses, and promoting economic growth. This is such a forward-thinking environment, that I truly believe that there is nothing we cannot accomplish as a team. I believe we will lead the nation in designing a next-generation service strategy."
LeDoux served as the Chair of the State Agency Coordinating Committee for Training and Development from 2004-2016. The committee represents the training organizations of the 16 largest state agencies in Texas. LeDoux was also the State Treasurer of the Texas Public Employees Association (TPEA), the oldest and largest association representing state employees from 2008-2013
The Board of Directors for Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is a 27-member, volunteer group of high-level business and community leaders. The 51% business-led Board is responsible for the planning, oversight, evaluation, and monitoring functions necessary to ensure the delivery of quality services.
