Winter weather: Here's a list of school closures, late starts

Some area schools delayed, closed Wednesday because of power outages

Winter weather brought snow to Central Texas on Sunday.

Here's an ongoing list of any school closures, late starts and remote learning.

Please check your school's website and social media accounts for the latest updates.

Late start:

  • Blinn College District announced that all campus locations will delay opening on Tuesday, January 12th, until 10 a.m.
  • Bryan ISD will begin school on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
  • College Station ISD will begin school on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
  • Franklin ISD will delay the start of school on Tuesday, January 12 until 10 a.m.
  • Groesbeck ISD will have a 2-hour delay start on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Buses will run their routes, but they will be 2 hours later. Kids Kare will open at a regular time.
    • Leon ISD will have a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
    • Madisonville CISD will operate on a late start for Tuesday, January 12.
    • Mexia ISD will start on a 2-hour delay. Buses will run 2 hours late.
    • North Zulch ISD will operate on a late start on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. School starts at 10:00 a.m.
    • Rockdale ISD will have a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
    • Snook ISD will start two hours late on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Buses will run two hours later than normal.
    • Somerville ISD will start school 2 hours late.
    • St. Joseph Catholic School will have a delayed start tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 12. Classes will start at 10 a.m.
    • Texas A&M University will operate Tuesday, Jan. 12 on a two-hour delay with a 10 a.m. start.
    • Waco Charter School will delay opening 2 hours on Tuesday morning, January 12.
