ROUND ROCK, TX — A 911-call about the serious harm of an individual turned out to be a swatting incident, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

WCSO says the sheriff's office received a 911 call in the Terevista Parkway community off of Hidden View Place in Round Rock Monday evening.

The caller reported someone had caused serious harm to an individual at the location.

WCSO says deputies later determined the situation was clear and a swatting incident.

Swatting is when someone prank calls emergency services in an attempt to bring a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.
