Warming centers, shelters available for those in need

Several warming centers and shelters are available in response to the extreme cold temperatures in our area.

No matter where you live in Texas, you can dial 2-1-1, or (877) 541-7905, and find information about resources in your local community.

The City of Killeen warming station has relocated to Skyline Baptist Church, 906 Trimmier Rd. Those using the center have been relocated and future persons in need should go directly to the church.

In Waco,The Salvation Army Community Kitchen, located at 300 Webster Avenue, offers additional space for shelter/warming shelter.

In College Station, Twin City Mission also has shelter for those in need.

The Copperas Cove Civic Center, located at 1206 W Avenue B, opened on Sunday, February 14th, as warming center and will remain open until the need is no longer necessary.
