Two local papers are being bought by Lee Enterprises.
Lee Enterprises purchased 30 publications from the Berkshire Hathaway Media Group for $140 million.
Berkshire Hathaway Media Group was owned by billionaire Warren Buffet.
Buffett is a lifelong fan of newspapers but he has said for several years that he expects most of them to continue on their declining trajectory, save for a handful of national papers such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
The deal included The Waco Tribune-Herald in Waco and The Eagle in the Brazos Valley.
This deal will means Lee Enterprises will now own and operate 81 daily papers.
