The Gatesville Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man's prized possession.

The police department said that someone stole a shadow box from the Church of Christ located in the 2400 block of E. Main Street.

On Jan. 16, 2020, an employee noticed a shadow box had been taken from his office at the church. The office is open during the day and sometimes in the evenings when there are church events.

What was in the box? Priceless items that cannot be replaced.

The owner of the shadow box said that it contained a collection of various badges he had worn during his career in law enforcement.

These included two badges from the Dublin Police Department, and one each from the Clyde Police Department, the Callahan County Sheriff’s Department, and a City Marshall badge from Baird, Texas. All the badges have the victim’s name or initials on them.
