COLLEGE STATION, TX — The College Station Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery at Academy Sports & Outdoors that happened on Saturday evening, according to a news release.
Around 4:46 p.m. officers responded to the sporting good store, located at 2511 Earl Rudder Freeway South.
A store manager told officers that he followed two women into the parking lot in an attempt to stop them from shoplifting. The women joined a man in a waiting vehicle. Officers said a citizen who was observing the interaction moved his truck to block the suspects' vehicle. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the citizen, demanding he move his truck, which he did.
Officers said the suspects then left the parking lot. Officers were able to locate the suspects' vehicle and detained the three suspects without incident.
