BELTON, TX — A suspect is still at large after robbing a bank in Belton.
According to Belton police, the call came in at 3:21 p.m. about a bank robbery at BBVA Compass Bank at 313 E Central Ave. in Belton.
They said a woman handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect told the teller she had a weapon but never showed it.
The suspect did leave the bank with money and headed east.
There were no injuries and the bank is currently closed.
The suspect is still at large and the investigation is ongoing.
Hours later, a Wells Fargo in Round Rock was also robbed. Police are investigating to see if the two robberies are related. In a Tweet from the Round Rock Police Department, you can see the two suspects appear similar.
