TEMPLE, TX — UPDATE:
The Temple Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Daekwon Ricks in connection with the June 7 shooting at Meadowbend Apartments
After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Ricks' arrest on July 10 for aggravated assault.
Ricks was arrested July 25 during a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Avenue H.
ORIGINAL STORY:
One person is in the hospital after a shooting outside an apartment complex in Temple.
Officers responded to the Village at Meadowbend Apartments in the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive around 9:15 Sunday night.
They arrived to find a man in the parking lot who had been shot.
The victim was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple.
Officials say the man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No suspects have been identified yet.
