A 72-year-old man from Moody is dead after a rollover crash Saturday afternoon on FM 2671 in Coryell County.

Texas DPS Troopers responded to a report of a one vehicle major crash on FM 2671, 7 miles east of Moody on Dec. 19 around 5:50 PM.

A 2014 Cadillac Sedan, operated by a 30 year old male from McGregor, was traveling southbound attempting to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed, according to DPS.

Investigation revealed that the driver failed to pass when safe, ran off of the roadway, struck a culvert, and rolled over multiple times.
