WACO, TX — A new art gallery opens its doors on March 1 in downtown Waco.
The Kieran-Sistrunk Fine Art Gallery is located in an early 1900s Waco home at 2120 Washington. The grand opening begins at 4 p.m. on Friday and runs until 9 p.m.
The gallery features the work of Mark Kieran and Susan Sistrunk as well as a boutique with hand-crafted leather goods and more from Waco and around the world. The gallery will also offer different art classes and activities. The first exhibition during the month of March will be an eclectic variety of both Mark and Susan's work.
"Art can really bring people together," said Sistrunk. "You get people who walk very different paths of life. You get the artist in the same room as a math teacher and you get some interesting conversations happening and that's community."
Watch "Texas Voices" at 6:30 p.m. on Central Texas News Now on March 11 as we feature Mark and Susan's artistic journey.
