TEMPLE, TX — A Temple man with autism, who arrested by a police officer, is hosting a meet-and-greet to talk to his community.

"Coffee with Sergei" was planned at Starbucks. They are now looking for a new location.

25 News first reported on 30-year-old Sergei Hall after an altercation with Temple PD on Jan. 15.

"I was just walking down the street with my music on, just doing my own thing, and then this officer just came out of no where, he just came, like I didn't even see him, and he kind of spooked me," Sergei said at the time.

Since then, Sergei's family hired attorneys to "make changes in the Temple Police Department, and avoid situations like Sergei's from happening again."

The invite for "Coffee with Sergei" says the meet-and-greet is to talk to community members, and not to discuss his "pending case."
