KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Police Department arrested a man for robbing a Walmart.

Officers said they responded to a theft in progress at 1400 Lowes Boulevard.

A Walmart employee said she saw the suspect put a pair of pants on over his shorts and place shoes into his jacket.

The witness said the suspect, James Aaron Cabrera, did not pay for these items.

She said she stopped Cabrera at the general merchandise vestibule and identified herself as an asset protection employee.

According to the employee, Cabrera grabbed a hold of her right arm and pushed past her.

Cabrera also pushed another employee before fleeing on foot.

Officers located a man matching the description of Cabrera standing near the window of a residence at 1300 Grandon Drive.

The resident of the house confirmed to officers that it was not the suspect's home.

Officers located several of the stolen items after Cabrera was arrested for an active warrant and searched.
