WACO, TX — After co-owner Chip Gaines was given the idea on social media, Magnolia Market announced plans on Wednesday to hold an online vendor fair for black-owned small businesses nationwide.

The company made the announcement on Facebook, asking its supporters to nominate black-owned businesses that they want to see showcased. Initially, the challenge made on Twitter tasked Chip and Joanna Gaines with creating an outlet to showcase local black-owned businesses, but the company has expanded the idea to a nationwide effort.
There's no date for the vendor fair at this time. As of publication, the Facebook post asking for nominations has received over 400 comments.
