WACO — Established just months ago, Wheels of Waco, a new meet-up for classic and contemporary cars, has seen a boom in popularity.
Assembled on an idea created by two friends, Michael Satterfield of The Gentlemen Racers, and Brett Jameson of Dichotomy, they've grown the monthly car meet-up in Downtown Waco from just a few cars, to now 30 plus.
"Its a monthly event we're doing here in Downtown Waco... we're really excited to see a good turnout, a diverse group of car guys... we have everything from classic model A's, to the latest and greatest super cars. So it's great!" exclaimed Satterfield.
The two, who met online, explained they started the group with the intention of connecting people. Though as its grown, they would like to connect with charities to help fund causes around the Central Texas and Waco area.
"Cars are really why I'm into coffee, so it was natural from us to do it here and I can provide the coffee... I've always just really enjoyed cars... if you're in to cars come down. Even if you don't have a car, come down here. But any car's great, as long as you're in to the cars and enjoy. Plus, you get free coffee... so no reason not to come," explained Jameson.
Satterfield explained that in the following months, they intend to coordinate a large toy drive for the children of Central Texas for the holidays.
