LIBERTY HILL, TX — (UPDATE: August 12, 2019 5:16 p.m.) According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office. RM 1869 at US-183 has been reopened. RM 1869 is now blocked at Foust Drive, west of US Highway 183.
WCSO says the excessive heat combined with freshly laid and hot asphalt is causing the asphalt to stick to cars.

The Liberty Hill Police Department is warning drivers to avoid Ranch Road 1869 after it was damaged by melted hot mix asphalt.
Liberty Hill PD says Ranch Road 1869 between SH-29 and US-183 sustained substantial amount of damage. According to Liberty Hill PD, most of the roadway is covered in melted hot mix asphalt.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area. TxDOT crews are working to fix the road.
