KILLEEN, TX — Killeen police need your help in finding the driver who hit and killed 53 year-old Michael Dean Cook as he crossed the 1000 block of Jasper Road Saturday night.
Police say it happened shortly after 7, as Cook, headed southbound, crossed Jasper.
Witnesses said, an SUV, traveling eastbound in the inside lane, struck Cook, and then took off.
Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital, where he later died. A Justice of the Peace later ordered an autopsy.
Investigators with the Killeen Police Department, Traffic Unit, ask anyone who may have seen
anything or has information about the suspect vehicle involved in this fatality, to contact Crime
