Waco police have confirmed that the victim of the shooting is a 46-year-old man, and is "currently in critical condition but alive."
Officers are still actively investigating the shooting.

A Waco PD supervisor confirmed that one person was shot in the 2500 block of Summer Avenue Friday afternoon.
Police arrived after 3:30 p.m. and found the victim on the floor. That person was transported to the hospital.
Officers confirmed the gunshot wound was not self-inflicted. The suspect is still at large.

Police are on the scene of a reported shooting on Summer Street in Waco where 25 News reporters are on the scene.
Neighbors in the area say that one person was shot and taken to the hospital — 25 News has not been able to confirm that with police yet.
Summer Avenue between 25th and 26th Streets is shut down currently.
