HUTTO, TX — The Hutto Police Department is participating in 'No Shave November" to raise money for childhood cancer and "The Cure Starts Now" campaign.
The department says it took part in the "Beard it Up/Color for the Cure" campaign for pediatric cancer research last year as well.
Starting Nov. 1, Hutto Officers will be allowed to grow out their beards or color their nails through December.

Last year, the department says they raised over $1,300 through the campaign. This year, their goal is to double that number.
So -- the department says, "If you see a Hutto Officer in the next few weeks with a '5 O'clock shadow' or some brightly colored nails, give 'em a high five!"
