FORT HOOD, TX — US Army Garrison Fort Hood is asking all residents and personnel in Fort Hood to minimize water consumption until further notice due to a broken water pipe.
The water restriction is voluntary.
According to Fort Hood and III Corps Facebook page, they estimate that repairs to the broken pipe will be completed by 10 p.m. on Jan. 9.
The post said the request does not extend to North Fort Hood.
They said "Fort Hood residents should see no noticeable effects, or have any need to boil water, as long as we all chip in and reduce the water we use for the time being."
