WASHINGTON COUNTY, TX — On Jan 30., around 7:16 A.M., DPS Troopers responded to a fatal one-vehicle crash on US 290 near Brenham, TX.
According to their media release, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan was heading east on US 290, when it started drifting off the roadway, eventually vaulting off a concrete bridge, and into Holle Creek.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 76-year-old Abdul Velani from Katy, TX, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger of the Volkswagen, 62-year-old Muneera Velani from Katy, TX, was also pronounced deceased at the scene as well.
According to Texas Highway Patrol, this is still being considered an on-going investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
