Man who allegedly shot woman multiple times in Copperas Cove arrested

COPPERAS COVE, TX — UPDATE:

On January 4, 2021, The United States Marshals Service – Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, assisted by the Killeen Police Department and Harker Heights Police Department arrested Calvin Lee Jackson Jr.

Officers found Jackson in the 200 block of Jaimie Dr, Harker Heights, Texas. Officers apprehended Jackson at about 2:00 PM.

Jackson was transported by the US Marshals to the Coryell County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Copperas Cove Police are searching for a man who fled the scene Thursday after allegedly shooting a woman multiple times.

On December 31, 2020, at approximately 12:26 pm, Copperas Cove Police Officers responded to the 100 block of East Avenue A for a reported gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, officers located a female victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim said the suspect fled the scene and identified him as Calvin Lee Jackson Jr.

The victim was transported to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Police say the investigation determined Calvin departed the scene in a tan Cadillac with chrome rims.

A warrant has been issued for Calvin’s arrest for the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence.

Calvin should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Copperas Cove Police.
