Copperas Cove police identify suspect in shooting at carwash

COPPERAS COVE, TX — Copperas Cove police have identified the man who they say is wanted for a shooting that occurred at The Car Wash in Copperas Cove on June 14.

The suspect has been identified as Derryl Bernard Robinson. Police are searching for Robinson, and anyone with information should contact police immediately.

According to police, Robinson and the victim knew each other from previous encounters.

Copperas Cove police responded to the shooting at the Car Wash in the 200 block of West Business Highway 190 on Friday, June 14.

When officers arrived at the scene at 8:40 p.m., a victim was located and taken to the hospital. The victim's condition was stable, according to police.

Robinson is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police warn that Robinson is dangerous and no attempt should be made to engage or apprehend the suspect without police assistance.

Robinson may be driving a white, 2004 Ford Expedition with a North Carolina license plate. The license plate number is FMB 7866.
