MEXIA — The cause of a Mexia gas station fire is unknown, according to the town's fire chief.
The fire began Saturday evening at the Valero located on Milam and North Bailey.
Officials say that the cause of the fire was unknown, but there were no reported injuries.
Mexia City Manager Eric Garretty said that the fire was discovered in the building's attic and quickly spread.
Two employees were inside the store when the fire broke out, but were unharmed.
