Missing 81-year-old woman with Alzheimer's found safe

UPDATE: Janet has been located alive and is being evaluated and treated by EMS.

The Burnet County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in finding an 81-year-old woman.

The Burnet County Sheriff's Office say they are actively looking for Janet Albers, 81 year old female, who was last seen at her residence in the 4800 block of CR 208 at approximately 9:20 AM.

She suffers from Alzheimer's and is believed to have wandered off into the wilderness area near her residence.

She is described as a female, 5'5", 125 pounds, last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.

BCSO has called in K9 units, a DPS helicopter, and aerial drones to assist in the search.

A ground-based search by emergency personnel on foot is currently underway.

Reverse 911 has been activated in the area to notify area residents to be on the lookout for Janet.
