WACO, TX — Baylor Students with Latino Pre-Health Student Association hosted their first ever Dance-A-Thon Friday evening.

Tickets were sold for $5 which included pizza, a dance floor, as well as a Latin dance session.

The money raised at the event went toward medical supplies to be shipped to Venezuela.

"I really hope to see with the money that we are able to raise we are able to see the way that we have contributed and helped out even if it's small, but to see that our money is going toward medical supplies that are going to be shipped over to Venezuela would be wonderful," said Stacy De Leon, social chair for Latino Pre-Health Student Association.

All of the money raised will be sent out to the Cuatro Por Venezuela Foundation in Houston, which will then buy supplies and have it shipped to Venezuela.
