BELL COUNTY, TX — A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday in Bell County after sexually assaulting children in Bell County and Florida.

The Bell County District Attorney's Office said Sean Stern, 37, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Friday.

According to the affidavit, a victim said he started to train with Sean Stern because he was a "good soccer player." The victim was 10 years old at the time.

At that time, Stern was in college, and the victim would train with him when Stern came home to visit. Stern's freshman year he tore his ACL and was home a lot more often to recover from his injuries. During that time, the victim and Stern would hang out.

The victim considered Stern his "idol" and confided in him.

The two two would be alone often and would watch TV together and wrestle.

While wrestling, the victim noticed that Stern would become aroused, and the wrestling would become sexual in nature. The victim did not know what was happening and thought it was part of wrestling.

According to the affidavit, the winner of the wrestling match would sexually assault the loser. The victim said because Stern was stronger, he would always win, except for one time.

The incident happened a few more times before the victim realized something was wrong. After that, the victim did not hang out with Stern alone anymore.

The victim then told his mother and father sometime in 2015.

It wasn't until the victim learned that Stern was arrested in Florida for similar allegations that he decided to come forward and report what he had done to him.

The victim came forward in 2017.

In 2016, according to WJXT, Stern was accused of molesting two boys between 12 and 16 years old on several occasions multiple times.

A nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest on Oct. 19 and he was arrested in Florida.

In April 2016, he plead guilty no contest to five counts of molestation of a minor. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 15 years of sex offender probation upon release.

On Friday, Stern was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Bell County.

He was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in July 2018.
