BRYAN, TX — The Bryan Police Department welcomed 10 new officers to the force Friday.
Chief of Police Eric Buske sore in the new officers, who completed the 2nd Bryan Police Department Basic Peace Officer Academy.
The department says the academy was a 20-week program where cadets were "tested physically and mentally, preparing them to take the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement (TCOLE) test certifying them as a police officer."
The graduation ceremony was held at the Bryan Civic Auditorium on Friday, August 16.
According to the department, the new officers will be paired with senior officers in a Field Training Program for approximately 18 weeks.
