(KXXV) — Randall, 10, is a kind and curious boy who loves life and wants to grow up and be a police officer.
We spent the morning with Randall while he painted a pottery puppy and told us about his dreams.
Randall's mind is full of questions, intrigued by how things work.
But the biggest question of all: Will his forever family find him? What will they be like?
"Fourteen brothers and two sisters," imagines Randall.
"What if you were the only child to get all the attention?" asks Central Texas News Now Anchor Lindsay Liepman.
"I could probably have that," says Randall.
Randall's CASA volunteer says they bonded instantly.
"One thing he needs for sure is a father figure. Someone he can look up to and play with and fish with. Explore with and that sort of thing," said Ken Walker.
Randall has been in CPS care for years, but his affection for others and love for life hasn't wavered.
"That's the best hug," says Liepman after Randall gives her a big bear hug.
"I can give you a better one!" exclaims Randall who stands up and gives Lindsay an even bigger hug.
"That was the best hug all day!" says Liepman.
"He just has so much to give and I'm just impressed with a boy who's 10 years old to be like he is. He gives more than he takes," says Walker.
