(KXXV) — A teenage girl is ready for a forever family. Natasha is bright, funny and has spent 12 years in and out of Child Protective Services.

She wants the next home to be her last.

An afternoon at Pura Vida Spa and Salon in Waco is just what Natasha needed.

"I'm ready for high school and I'm ready for my future," Natasha said.

Natasha is also getting a new portrait for The Heart Gallery of Central Texas by volunteer photographer Bobby Disler of Correll Original Photography.

It's a fresh start after what has been a tough year. A family that adopted her at 8 years old, eventually did not end up being her forever home.

"I do want to get adopted again. I'm looking for a family that will be there for me and support me through school and my sports and support me emotionally for what seems like a long 14 years," said Natasha.

But she's optimistic. Natasha is athletic, nurturing and wants to be a nurse some day. Soon she'll be getting ready for eighth-grade prom but she just wants a family to share her special moments with.

"I've learned a lot and gone through a lot that kids that are 14 shouldn't go through and just someone who has all their love and open hearts for me," she said.

You can view Natasha's bio at The Heart gallery of Central Texas, a program of Partnerships for Children.

"Forever Families" airs every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on Central Texas News Now.
