WACO, TX — This may be the most Wacoan proposal we've ever seen.
Bradley Lytle and Haley Rhode have been together for a little over a year. They met as co-workers at Specs in New Braunfels.
"It's funny because she originally put her application in at a store in Austin, then got interviewed in San Marcos, and then got placed at my location in New Braunfels. We talk all the time about how it was just meant to be," said Bradley.
Bradley said he knew proposing at the Dr. Pepper Museum would be the perfect place to propose.
"Haley absolutely loves Dr. Pepper," he said. "She drinks it everyday. She's crazy about it."
Haley has had a connection to Dr. Pepper since she was young.
"Her mom won a $2,000 scholarship from Dr. Pepper, and Haley always joked that they got all that money back just from their profits off her!" Bradley continued.
For Bradley, proposing in Waco and at the Dr. Pepper museum was a family affair.
"I was raised there (Waco). My mom was born there and is buried there now. My sister, brother and I love Waco, Baylor and Dr. Pepper. It just seemed like a very personal and perfect spot for such an important moment in our lives," he said.
When the couple was walking through the museum Thursday, Haley was given a Dr. Pepper bottle that read, "Marry me?" with the date printed on it. Bradley then got down on one knee and popped the question.
Haley said yes!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
