WACO, TX — Heart of Texas Goodwill is urging the public to hold donations due to COVID-19.

All Goodwill stores and donation centers in Bell, Brazos and McLennan counties will remain closed to protect their employees from potential exposure to COVID-19.

While most people have started to clean out their closets or sort through old belongings to donate, Goodwill is asking the public to hold onto those important donations until they can reopen donation centers and stores.

We will continue to monitor the situation and heed public officials’ recommendations on the best way to navigate the days and weeks ahead. At a safe and appropriate time, we will resume normal operations. We realize it is a significant inconvenience for many people in our communities, be we are asking, please hold onto those valuable donations to give to Goodwill when we reopen.
Heart of Texas Goodwill President and CEO, Shannon Wittmer

Heart of Texas Goodwill will post information about when donation centers and stores will be opening on its website, www.hotgoodwill.org and social media channels.
