TEMPLE, TX — For the November 22 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Zoe Grant, president and CEO of Zoe's Wings Foundation, Inc. and La'Shunta Leach, a recipient of Zoe's Wings.

Zoe’s Wings’ Go East Temple Project was established to help low or moderate income homeowners who need to upgrade their homes to make them attractive, safe, sanitized, accessible and energy efficient. The program revitalize communities and homes with necessary repairs for living in safe and healthy housing.

In 2017, La'Shunta's house caught fire and suffered severe damage, leaving her and her three children displaced. Following an investigation, it was declared an electrical fire. She had insurance, which paid out as required, but the contractors she hired were not legitimate and made away with hundreds of thousands of dollars without completing the project. Since then, she has been making house and insurance payments, but has been unable to live in her home. Zoe’s Wings Foundation, Inc. heard about La'Shunta's story on August 23, and began working with them in an effort to get her and her family back in their home before Thanksgiving.
