Scottish Gathering and Highland Games kick off in Salado

SALADO, TX — For the November 7 edition of Central Texas Living Andrea Morgan spoke with K.D. Hill, board member and committee chairman for the Scottish Games and Liz Patranella, vice president of the Salado Museum and College Park.

Happening November 8 to November 10 is the 58th Scottish Gathering and Highland Games in Salado. The weekend will begin Friday evening at 6 p.m. on the Salado Creekside with the Calling of the Clans, Following the Calling is a welcome social and buffet supper at the Hall of the Clans at the Museum.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a festival of all things Scottish at the Salado Civic Center grounds on North Main Street.
