Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer in both men and women, and the disease causes more deaths than colon, breast and prostate cancer combined. It's also a complex disease to understand and treat. One reason lung cancer is so deadly is that it's hard to find in the early stages. It can take years for the cancer to grow and there are usually no early symptoms.
