WACO, TX — For the Dec. 13 edition of Central Texas Living Andrea Morgan spoke with Brent Shehorn, owner of Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Wreaths Across America is a national non-profit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as other veterans cemeteries. More than 1600 locations across the U.S. participate in the mission to remember, honor and teach. Each year, the second Saturday in December is dedicated as National Wreaths Across America Day. This year, Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco will host a service of remembrance in the chapel of the funeral home. This service is scheduled for Saturday, December 14 at 11 a.m. Following the service, anyone who ordered a wreath will be able to pick them up and take them to their chosen cemetery where they will place them on the grave of a veteran.
