WACO, TX — For the July 2 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Peter Ellis, executive director of Anthem Group, Rebecca Sheehy, marketing manager of Anthem Group and Mary Beth Farrell with the Dr Pepper Museum.
During the interview, they talked about the First Friday event in July, and the new First Friday hub station that will be located at the Dr Pepper Museum outside courtyard.At this hub, there will be a live band, giveaways, a handful of vendors and more. Inside, the Dr Pepper Museum is opening their newest exhibit, Healing Waters. It will be offering free admission, mineral water samples and a Greater Waco Chamber ribbon cutting. This will all take place Friday, July 5 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
The First Friday effort was started 6 years ago by the Director at Anthem Group, Peter Ellis. Since then, it's grown from around 6 participating vendors, to anywhere near 30 depending on the month. It's an effort to make downtown Waco a destination. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy what all downtown has to offer, with all the new and existing stores.
