WACO, TX — For the November 8 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Clint Lynch, general manager for Oakwood Cemetery and Rosewood Cemetery and Liam Dietz, Eagle Scout in troop 308 and senior at Vanguard College Preparatory School.

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program. Since its inception in 1911, only 4% of scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process. Liam Dietz is using his Eagle Scout project to honor veterans in our community. He constructed a flag retirement fire ring in the Veteran Section of the City of Waco's Rosemound Cemetery. There will be a public dedication ceremony on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, at 4:30 p.m. at the site of the fire ring.

The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony. For more information, or if your organization would like to use the fire ring to retire American or Texas flags, contact Rosemound Cemetery at 254-752-6492.
