Children's book author aims to bring diversity to the lives of children

CENTRAL TEXAS — For the October 15 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Sucheta Rawal, author of the the children's book series, "Beato Goes to. "

Rawal recently published her fifth book in the series, "Beato Goes to Brazil." The story follows her cat, Beato, as he dances at Rio's Carnival and visits the species who call the endangered Amazon Rainforest home. Rawal uses her books to share the message of cultural diversity and inclusion in the world.

Rawal also founded the non-profit, Go Eat Give, whose mission is to introduce people, especially children, to new cultures through travel, food and community service.
