Big event promoting pet adoption: the 4th Annual Pet Adoption Extravaganza

BELTON, TX — For the Sept. 10 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Ron Ducharm with Rescue Magazine and Lexi Trim, director of shelter operations with Fuzzy Friends Rescue.

The 4th Annual Pet Adoption Extravaganza is happening this weekend in Belton. More than 350 animals including dogs, cats, birds, and more are expected to be at the event. Last year, more than 3,600 people attended, and 198 animals where adopted.

There will also be educational exhibits including working dogs, dog training , reptiles, farm animals and more.

The event is happening this Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bell County Expo Center.
