WACO, TX — For the August 5 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Devian "Big Binky" Mims and Tammye Mims, event coordinators of the 9th Annual Waco Family Barbecue & Back to School Bash.
Coming up on Saturday, August 10 there will be a big barbecue and back to school backpack giveaway at Oscar Duconge Park in Waco from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be entertainment, food, drinks, games, prizes and more. Prior to the event there, Central Texas News Now has partnered with 94.5 The Beat in an effort to raise money to help purchase the school supplies for children in need throughout the Waco area.
There is a GoFundMe account you can donate to if you would like to help the cause. If the GoFundMe reaches $1000 by midnight Friday, August 9, Ann Harder has agreed to ride the mechanical bull at 3 o'clock sharp on Saturday afternoon.
