Ascension Providence launches Veteran's Recognition Program

WACO, TX — For the November 11 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Philip Patterson, president of Ascension Providence.

Ascension Providence hospital launched the new "Honor the Red, White, & Blue" Veteran's Recognition Program on Veterans Day with a dedication at its new Veteran's Memorial and Healing Garden. As part of this new program, veterans will receive a magnetic American flag attached to the door outside the patient's room and a flag-motif wrist band. If the veteran dies in the hospital, they will recieve a Final Salute and Honor Walk, including 15 seconds of "Taps" played overhead, a stars and stripes drape and voluntary Honor Guard escort to honor the fallen veteran.
