WACO, TX — For the September 25 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Christine Schroeder-Morren, education and family care specialist with the Alzheimer's Association and Anna Hoffman, Waco Walk to End Alzheimer's committee chair.
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading entity in research and the fight to end Alzheimer's. It is the 3rd largest funding body for research in the world, behind only China and the US. The Alzheimer's Association provides many programs and services to individuals and families dealing with dementia diagnosis from care consultations, caregiver support groups, family and community education and more. There are many ways to get involved with the Association including getting involved with fundraising efforts like the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer's. Participants can form a team, join a team, raise funds and walk and celebrate the day of walk.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening Saturday, October 5. Check in time is set for 8 a.m. at Brazos Park East in Waco.
