19th annual genealogy lock-in celebrates family history month

WACO, TX — For the October 9 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Ron Burnett, webmaster with Central Texas Genealogical Society and Bill Buckner, genealogy supervisor at Waco-McLennan County Library.

Friday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Central Texas Genealogical Society and Waco-McLennan County Library, with host the 19th Annual Gebealogy Lock-in at the West Waco Library and Genealogy Center. The event is in calibration of Family History Month. This library event showcases the Library's genealogy collection and provides access to and awareness of area hereditary and historical societies. This is a great opportunity for beginners and experts to pursue their family history and learn more about genealogy in general. Early registration for the Lock-in begins at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer at the West Waco Library & Genealogy Center.
