WACO, TX — A driver suffered minor injuries after the City of Waco solid waste refuse truck tipped over Friday morning.
The crash happened at Highway 84 and Highway 6 near BJ's Brewhouse.
The Waco Police Department said the solid waste truck was headed westbound when, due to an equipment failure, the load in the truck shifted. This caused the truck to tip on its side.
The driver suffered minor injuries. He was taken for treatment and released.
Traffic at the intersection was diverted for about two hours due to the truck blocking the westbound lanes.
After the truck was cleared, all lanes were reopened for normal traffic.
