CHAPPELL HILL, TX — All Texans know that when the bluebonnets pop up across the state - it is time for pictures. But does everyone know there is an official bluebonnet festival in Texas?

The festival is from April 18 to April 19. Admission is free.

The heart of the festival takes place on Main St. and Providence in Chappell Hill.

It is no surprise that the festival brings thousands of people to the little town on the hill. It was even declared the official bluebonnet festival of Texas by the Texas Legislature.

The festival has over 250 arts and craft vendors and live musical entertainment throughout the day.

There are also a ton of activities for kids to enjoy, like a petting zoo and face painting.
