SEGUIN, TX — A Texas school district has suspended its football program for 10 days after an outbreak of COVID-19.

Navarro ISD announced Friday it has 18 positive cases of COVID-19. Ten of the cases are staff members and eight are students.

The district said it is continuing to follow TEA and UIL guidelines for sanitizing and handling COVID-19 positive cases.

It has also suspended its football program until August 24 in an effort to control exposure.
