If you enter your ZIP code into the new interactive mapping tool, you can learn the life expectancy for your area, according to UT Southwestern Medical Center scientists.

The interactive mapping tool uses data from the Texas Department of State Health Services Center for Health Statistics death records from the year 2005 to 2014.

According to the study, those in Hutto ZIP code 78634 had the longest life expectancy with 97 years, while those in Fort Worth ZIP code 76104 had the shortest life expectancy with 66.7 years.

Scientists also noted, from ZIP code to ZIP code, overall life expectancy in the Lone Star state varied by as many as 30 years. Overall, women beat men at life expectancy by 5.2 years.

"Texans living in ZIP codes with less than 5 percent poverty lived an average of 82.4 years, versus those living in ZIP codes with more than 20 percent poverty who lived an average of 76.4 years," the study concluded.
