CONROE, TX — The Montgomery County Judge's Office confirmed, via statement, that Judge Mark Keough has tested positive for COVID-19.
In the statement sent out by Chief of staff, Jason Millsaps, they write:
"On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Judge Keough was notified by his physician that before he undergoes surgery for his hip on Dec. 18, he must take a COVID test." Millsaps wrote.
According to said statement, the hip surgery was due to a September car accident in which Judge Keough is currently facing a DWI charge. According to the arrest affidavit, Judge Keough had 155.5 nanograms of Ambien ,and noted levels of amphetamines, in his system.
The accident occurred along Grogan's Mill Road in The Woodlands where Keough crashed into a Montgomery County Precinct 5 deputy and a third car. His trial is set for Jan 5. 2021.
