Mac Cosmetics launched their new line of makeup called “Selena: La Reina” collection on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. The launch comes four days after the Queen of Tejano music’s birthday and is the second Selena makeup line from Mac Cosmetics.
In September of 2016, Mac Cosmetics launched their first Selena makeup line in the singer’s hometown of Corpus Christi, TX and Selena fans excitedly took the chance to buy the singer’s iconic makeup looks.
Both makeup lines draw inspiration from the singer’s makeup bag that her sister, Suzette Quintanilla, brought in while meeting with Mac Cosmetics.
The new line includes an eye shadow palette, four lipsticks, three lip gloss options, two lip liners, three liquid lipstick shades, a highlighter in the shape of a rose, and a makeup bag with the iconic bustier pattern.
“Sitting with the M·A·C team before the first Selena collection, I had an amazing idea to celebrate my sister’s 25th anniversary when the time came. And now, we’re making it happen!” said Suzette Quintanilla on the Mac website.
